Well I just got back from the Willow Grove Airshow with the US Air Force demonstration team, the Thunderbirds and I liked it...for what I saw of it.

Here's the fun part, I passed out from heat exhaustion.

I got taken to the first aid station, had an IV drip in my right arm in an ambulance for about an hour, and I got released with strict instructions for rest, and plenty of fluids.

To get the IV, they had to try to find my veins...took them five seperate tries too.
Seems I have deep veins.Joke

So here I am, restricted to my own bedroom with a bottle of water next to me...and bored to death.

So, anyone here ever go to an airshow before or even know what I'm talking about?

I love airshows. Hyped I used to go to two each year, in Schenectady and Elmira. It's been a while, though... and tough luck with heat exhaustion. :-\ That sucks. Joke

I once had penicillini injected straight into my hand when they missed a vein. Very painful, but they thought I was joking when I said it.

Actually, we have an airshow out at Whiteman's Airforce Base tommorow. I'm considering going.

(Whiteman's is the only airforce base that houses the B-2 Bomber)

I usually go to McGuire, Reading or Willow Grove.
My favorite is Reading, PA. They always have the World War II aircraft there...Spitfires, Mustangs, and B-17 Flying Fortresses.
Today, the Memphis Belle was there. In the war, her crew flew 25 successful combat missions. Also, it was in a movie.Joke

Heh, they did that to me too. "Come on, you didn't even flinch."

DUDE. The airport is approximately 10 miles from me. Joke When they have the WWII Weekend next year, we need to meet up. I was there last year but we decided not to go this year.

and I also know what you mean about the heat. My God, especially in PA. Joke

Elmira had their own B-17, but they had to sell it. But they have a fleet of WW2 aircraft for shows.

Yeah, Skirata. Joke

Moff, you should come down next year. They have a whole bunch of aircraft and tons of veterans. It's cool cause all the planes fly in over the course of 5 days, right over my house.

There was an airshow in London today, with a Lancaster, 2 Spitfires and 2 Hurricanes.

Stewart Air Base right by me had a huge airshow last year, it was cool, I could sit in my house and watch them all fly around. GO BLUE ANGELS!

Then a few months go either the last surviving Liberator and one of the last 10 B-17s or vice versa flew around here and landed here. It was cool
