It was mid afternoon and the Contruum citizens were already buzzing with life and excerising their daily duties. Draco emerged on the streets of his homeplanet, memory seeking into his thoughts. He looked around at the familiar and missed viewpoints.

As he walked the once faded memories of Sphinx came to alive, dancing within his already pained mind. A familiar street corner was where they had first met and how destiny had placed them as best friends up til the past year.

Draco stopped cold, his heart slowly decreasing. "I can't do this." he thought. His feet turned slightly fully ready to leave the funeral ahead of him, but something told him to keep going. His left stepped forward, then his right and slowly he arrived at the graveyard.

Friends of old existed here and Draco could see the pain within each of them, especially the little girl Draco had known as 'Stacy'. Tony had protected his younger sister for years shielding her from the darkness of the galaxy. Draco moved towards her and stopped in front of the sobbing girl.

"Draco" she whispered and threw her arms around the blonde hair boy. Draco eyes watered and he wrapped his own arms around the young woman. She was now 16 if he remembered correctly.

"Stacy, I'm so sorry." Draco said quietly

The girl looked up and smiled while wiping the tears from her face, "It means a lot that you are here." Draco cracked a smile but lost the power to hold it as his eyes fell on the casket. Stacy turned and her body collasped into Draco. Unable to support herself, Stacy cried into the strong supporting hands of Draco.

So the ceremony began, elders of a local church speaking on behalf of the traditional parents. Tony and Stacy were orphans but had survived mostly because of the love they had shared with each other, and the part was because of Sphinx's gang. Although as screwed up as the gang was, they looked out for each other and Draco remembered that it was the closest thing he had to a family.

Stacy looked up and walked to the stage and gave her memories to the small crowd. Not many seemed to either know the boy or cared about a street 'rat'.

Draco looked into the face of the grown teenage girl, the once spoiled brat of the gang, crying into the microphone. Her eyes were filled with so much pain. How had this once happy little girl come to this? What gods and goddesses would allow this to happen? Why did this girl have to lose her only hope, her only savior in this dark and cruel galaxy? Draco looked downwards, his depression crawling back within the now darkness of his soul. How could this happen? He kept asking himself.

The ceremony ended with a few more testimonies of the less-known individual, each sharing their favorite story with Tony. He was the older brother that everyone wanted, that everyone needed. He protected Stacy, like he protected each member of the gang.

Draco walked Stacy out of the funeral, in place of the ceremonial father, knowing that somehow, Draco would now have to help this young woman, return to life. But he could not allow her to return to their kind of life, eyeing the old members of the gang.

The hours went by quickly, but the pain and suffering of their lost friend and brother did not. Stacy and Draco relived their greatest memories of Tony.

Stacy looked at Draco and kissed him across the lips. When they parted, she said, "Runaway with me...Far far away from all this trouble, all this pain and suffering."

Draco looked at her, "I can't...I can't."

Stacy kissed him again, "Why not? We could go any where! Any where at all. And be away from the streets."

"All right." Draco spontanously added, "I have enough credits for us to live on for the rest of our lives." He was tired of the Galactic issues on his shoulders. He was tired of the blood on his hands, the wars he was ordered to fight in. He was sick of it.

So they ran, away from everything, after draining his personal account.
