The smell of the grill mixed with various local foods wafted in the streets directly outside the Coronet City Tavern. The restaurant itself was not the most elaborate place on Corellia, but then again, Han never was one to fall for that expensive, fancy stuff. This place was just perfect for him in its wide selection of local meats and notable bar. They had the best selection of alcoholic drinks in town and not to mention the best steaks. It would've been a crime to not bring Leia here.

The mouth-watering aroma that was present in the street hit them full force as they entered the building itself. Han believed himself to be hungry before they even decided to come here, but now it was ten-fold. His stomach rumbled audiably and drew a small giggle from the twins as a hostess quickly showed them to a table.

When everything was settled and they were seated together, Han took a quick glance around the dining area before resting his gaze on his wife. Her dark, brown hair was tied back loosely in a pony tail, but some loose strands still fell about her shoulders. It made Han smile. "So," he began, opening the menu on the table. "Whaddya think?"

Leia stuck her nose up slightly. "Well," she rumbled. "I guess it's food..." she trailed off and opened the menu. Nothing there particularly looked appetizing to her. But, it was a welcome alternative to talking with the poster children of the Empire and their self-righteous ways.

That would be saved for the start of the trial. Leia sighed and set the menu down as the waitress came over, supervised by a small droid instructing her on what to do next. So, she's new, Leia thought. That was certainly not what she needed right now. She glanced at Han, clueless of what to get.

A frown crossed Han's features as Leia's mood slowly began to turn sour. Just the way she angled her nose up and shot less than thrilled glances around the dining room told Han she wasn't happy with the selection or his decision. He sighed and glanced back down at the menu. This was gonna be a very long breakfast.

Han felt Leia's gaze shift to him and he slowly inclined his head. She lifted her brow as if she expected something before he realized the waitress was standing before them.

"Can I get you two something to drink?" the waitress asked in an overly polite tone of voice. It grated Han's nerves but he managed a grin anyway.

"How 'bout just two cups of kafe," he muttered, shooting another gaze in Leia's direction.

The waitress nodded and hurried off to fulfill the order. Han took the opportunity to push the menu aside and address his wife fully. "It's not that time of month, is it?" he inquired with some hint of worry. It wasn't wise to get her angry if it was. "You were fine earlier. What's wrong?"

Before Leia had a chance to answer his question, a muffled beeping sound began to emit from deep within Han's pocket. Another look of disappointment and annoyance crossed his wife's face as he thrust his hand into his jacket and pulled out the comlink that was screaming for attention. A grimace was plastered on his face as he brought the device to his lips. "Now what," he grumbled and flipped it on.

A young, frantic voice began to filter through the speaker and drift around the area where the Solos were seated. The twins began to stir uneasily in their carriers and Leia's look of annoyance turned to one of worry at the man's words. "Sir, approximately two dozen Killik battleships have emerged from hyperspace around Corellia. Admiral Ackbar has taken action in your absence and has brought three fleets of our own into the fray alongside the Empire. This is war, Commander. Ackbar requests you join us and take command of the fleets."

Suddenly, Han didn't feel so hungry anymore. The empty feeling that he had felt early deepened until it felt like someone thrust a vibroblade into his abdomen. In fact, it was more than that. He felt genuinely sick. Han was glad they didn't order anything to eat yet or else he would've probably spewed it all back out on the floor right now.

It wasn't just the sudden threat of war to his homeworld and the rest of the galaxy, but he was up against bugs. He hated bugs. At least they were fighting this battle in space where he wouldn't have to worry about coming face to face with the kriffin' things.

But still, it was war. There goes any plans of having a peaceful trial and vacation.

Han exchanged a knowing glance with Leia before rising to his feet. "I'll be right there," he said in a solemn tone. "And don't you go havin' any fun till I get there, you hear?"

A chuckle came over the speaker despite the darkened mood. "Of course, sir! See you on board!" With that, the comm went silent.

Han returned the comm to his jacket pocket and spent a good long moment just studying Leia. He took in her features, how she had her hair styled today and what clothes she wore. He had to engrave that memory into his mind. Afterall, who knows if he would come back to her. It was hard to think about, but anything was possible in war.

Apparently she must've been thinking the same thing for in the next instant, they were in each other's arms and embracing. Han finally pulled away and looked down into the depths of her brown eyes. "I'll be back, sweetheart. Promise," he reassured her with a slight grin. "Don't be goin' anywhere." Taking in her features one last time, he bent down and kissed her on the lips.

It was hard, but finally Han brought himself to pull away from her and begin walking. On his way out, he stopped momentarily before Jonash and Jaina and gave a little farewell to them. The two children cooed at their father's touch. But one thing was still on his mind...

Turning around, Han and Leia's eyes met one last time. He gave her his best lopsided smile before disappearing from view.

Several minutes after Han Solo's departure the Tavern doors opened with a small backlighted creature standing in the doorway. Master Yoogle stepped inside, using the Force to close the doors behind him. He spotted the Chief of State and made his way towards the woman. The back of Yoogle's mind he could see the battle being played out, the beginning of the end of the Killiks, or so everyone thought.

Yoogle approached the woman, his large green smile attempted to ease her. "Madame and Chief of State." he stated, "Guard you and the younglings, I am. Bring you to safety, I must."

Yoogle wasn't sure if she knew about the Killiks so he sent her the vision of the twenty vessels over Corellia through the Force. The leader of the Galactic Alliance needed to be protected and that was exactly what the Grand Master of the Jedi Order would do.

Leia was starting to collect the children after her husband's swift departure when the doors burst open, the small figure working his way towards her. It was unmistakable; the revered Master Yoogle. Something grave was going on, and it involved Han's sudden leaving. Perhaps the threat was more serious than Admiral Ackbar had assessed.

"Madame and Chief of State," he said, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Guard you and the younglings, I am. Bring you to safety, I must."

Leia was about to inquire as to the situation, but then she needed no words. The vast fleets of the Killik were orbiting the planet, and casualities were already being sustained on both sides. She blinked off the slight disorientation and clutched the kids to her chest. "T-then let's go. I want to see this battle for myself."

"T-then let's go. I want to see this battle for myself." Leia stated. Yoogle nodded and lead the way towards the exit. He sensed a tingle in the Force, the above battle was flaring to a bloody onslaught. Yoogle approached the doors when his communicator rang. He opened his robe pockets and lifted the small communicator device. It was a holo-transmission from the Chief of Security.

"Master Yoogle." she said with a fake smile. Commanding officers were always trained to look supportive and couragous, even if doubts and fear existed. Yoogle felt this young Thanagarian's pain of losing someone she loved, all to well.

"Miss Arlyn?" Yoogle asked, his large orbs looking into the holo transmission with Leia onlooking the message. Arlyn exchanged pleasantries with Leia quickly then said, "Turbinia has set up a special tactical viewing for the both of you, Master Yoogle, Miss Organa Solo. A Turbinia speeder will arrive to collect you shortly."

Arlyn bowed and the transmission ended. Yoogle reached out with the Force, the speeder had a minute before it would arrive. They stepped into the open any ways, the mid-morning sunlight peering onto the oddly vacant streets of Coronet. A black speeder labelled, Turbinia X-O1 pulled around and two droids stepped out. One was a nanny type droid that was prepared to take the children and fasten them into their safety harnesses. The second droid was a protocol droid Arlyn had sent. Yoogle recognized the black coated individual as Captain. An odd name usually related to 'Captain Obvious'.

"Master Yoogle." Captain said, the imitation of fear in his voice, "We must hurry."

"The Force, guide us it will, fear not." Yoogle told the droid and the conversation ended as the droid waited impatiently for Leia to hand off one of the twins to the nanny droid. Yoogle stepped up to the speeder than moved aside, allowing Princess Leia and the nanny droid to fasten the twins.

Gilder stared at the bottom of his empty glass. Empty, nothing. That seemed to be a theme to his life at the moment; no ship, no crew, no riches, nothing. Though there was one bright side to his life right now; no Clara chasing after him from system to system. That almost made up for the lack of adventure, almost.

Sitting on this rock was so dull to him. The small amount of money he had couldn’t get him far, so he just sat in taverns, pubs, bars and drank. Sure, he could use the money to just settle down to a mediocre life for couple of years, but that isn’t what he is searching for, the “good life”.

“You going to stare at that glass all day, or will you let me close up the bar?” the bartender asked him.

Gilder looked round the bar, there wasn’t anyone left, the bartender must want to close up. Groaning, with nowhere else to waste his time, Gilder pushed the empty glass towards the bartender, got up, saying “fine, I’ll get going.”

Heading out the door Gilder was thinking about where to go next. Looking around he seemed hopeful, the sun hadn’t set yet, and most other places would still be open, until his tired mind noticed that Corell was on the wrong side of the sky. Instead of setting, it was rising. Calling down Willy from the rooftop which the parrot had been sleeping on, Gilder started to go back to his hotel room to get some sleep.

Ten o'clock in the morning; time for a drink.

James entered Coronet Tavern, having slept for almost seventeen hours in the cockpit of his fighter. He still had not given it a name, and had been using his prison number when requesting docking clearance. While Alpha-001 reflected his historic outing of Kessel prison, it also brought into sharp review the betrayal of the Doctor. He decided at that point to call his fighter the Quicksilver.

There were only two people in the bar, a murderous looking weequay and a thin, rat-looking human. James approached the bar and ordered a corellian whiskey, which was promptly delivered. He turned his back on the weequay, which hadn't taken its eyes off him, and took a seat in the corner. On right hand under the table he began to count. Once he reached three the weequay stood up and took the seat opposite.

"You killed my brother," it growled.
"No I pushed him, it was the sudden stop that really did the trick."

The weequay gave an evil half-smile and gestured at James' chest. A small red dot was visible just above his heart. He smiled back and nodded his head in the direction of the human, who had similar red dot between his eyes. Upon realising this, the human quickly lowered his blaster. The weequay drew his own weapon and placed it on the table, facing James.

"Not that smart are you, good looking?" said James.
"What's that sposed to mean?"
"Means your brain doesn't work good."

The weequay picked up it blaster in the blink of an eye, its motion as smooth as shimmersilk as it drew level with James' face. Before he could squeeze the firing stud however, he felt a sharp pain in his wrist. He looked down to see his hand pointing back at his face, the arm still extended. With a clatter, the blaster hit the table.

His eyes still boring into those of the weequay, James pointed his blaster at the human, who had his own blaster halfway back out.

"I wouldn't," he said.

The human dropped his blaster and raised his hand. It was at this point that the bartender noticed what was going on. Quickly and quietly he pressed the silent alarm under the bar. Pretending to duck behind the bar, he started yelling.

"Please, no blasters!"

James walked over to the human and threw him back in the direction of the weequay. He was walking back over to hand out the appropriate punishment when he heard sirens directly outside. He ducked into the back room as the police entered, guns drawn. There was a door to the alleyway on his left and a vent above him. Jumping he grabbed the vent hatch and ripped it out. He dropped it on the floor before opening the door and exiting via the alley. The building back onto a vacant lot, with rubbish and discarded building supplies littering the ground. They provided good cover, and James managed to evade the police before returning to the spaceport.

He engraved Quicksilver on a rectangular piece of metal and bolted it his ship, five centimetres below the cockpit on the left-hand side.
